A & C Dual Home Office

Another North Van custom home office, this one for a husband and wife team. This is a premium ASUNTO 8′ x 13′ (104 sq. ft.) Backyard Studio with the extra-height wall on the back. It features over-size sliding glass doors and frosted transom windows as well as a large 4′ x 5′ fixed window and sky-light. The interior walls and ceiling are drywalled with dimmable pot lights and a heat-pump system to keep the office warm in the winter and cool in the summer. The exterior is finished with hardi-plank siding matching identically the finish of the home. We updated the small existing patio to a much larger surrounding composite deck and new cedar fencing. In order to fit the studio/office in place we moved the existing retaining wall back 4′ and refinished the traditional blocks with smooth Allen blocks and added an extra-wide LED lit staircase (with a programmable phone app) leading to the extensive backyard space.
